ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE (ATC)

Project objectives

This ATC aims at attaining the following specific objectives:

The overarching goal of the ATC is to discuss the concept of hybrid threats through cyberspace, their recent evolution, and how they might evolve over time. The discussion on hybrid threats is timely as it is likely to be a technique that will be employed over the foreseeable future by a number of actors.

To promote cooperation in SEE region where some countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, and Slovenia) as NATO members and others (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia)

To raise awareness; discuss different approaches; compare the experience with the NATO and other partner nations; expand and strengthen the existing network of cooperation among the security experts, policy advisors and academics and finally to propose policies to the trainees’ national authorities.

The course will complement the NATO smart-defence concept and goals by which NATO engagement with partners should be tailored based on shared values and common approaches, with an emphasis on complementary efforts and non-duplication.
